Look, we need to talk about extinction. Not the museum kind where you stare at dino bones and feel guilty about driving a dino-fuel guzzling 4x4. The useful kind - where the thing that needed to end finally ends, and something new gets born in its place.

This is our Dreadful Dinosaur. Part rabbit (because duh), part existential crisis with button eyes, crafted in soft teal fur and waiting for the end of the world like someone who's ready for it. Extinction isn't always The End. Sometimes it's the only ladder out of a crater you should've left years ago.

Enter Steve. Steve is the meteor. Steve is also - and we cannot stress this enough - profoundly lazy. He's angry, sure. Look at that Grrr Face(TM). But it's the anger of a couch potato interrupted: annoyed. Steve is the Armageddon* you ordered six to eight weeks ago that still hasn't been fulfilled. He's the destruction of your worst habits and your most poisonous patterns, except he hit the snooze button so hard the alarm clock went extinct.

You're probably going to have to pick him up and throw him yourself.

Together they're a set. One creature at peace with the end, and one wrecking ball who can't be bothered to wreck. The dinosaur holds Steve close - but not out of fear. More like appreciation for what comes after an encounter with chaos. Because whether it's an annoying species or a relationship that stopped working three versions of you ago, the fire that clears the old stuff out is also what makes room for whatever's next.

So welcome the meteor. Prod the meteor. Give him a hand and throw him at those things that just need to END.

The little dino landed on my desk and immediately became the office mascot—everyone who walks by has to give its squishy belly a poke. It’s absurdly soft for a plush that’s supposed to be about extinction, and it holds up to constant squeezing without losing shape

The fabric feels surprisingly sturdy for a plush, so it’s held up through my kid dragging it everywhere for a week. The goofy stitched-on frown makes it stand out from every other boring dinosaur in her collection.

This little guy has permanently ended my coworker’s habit of stealing pens off my desk—he just sits there, arms open, looking utterly doomed, and it's impossible to be mad. The fabric is delightfully soft and the stitching is solid enough that I've been carrying him around for a week without a loose
